Collection consists of two documents dated January 17, [1850?], and June 14, 1879, respectively. The first letter is written to Colonel [Richard M. Johnson] concerning a debt owed to John W. Finnel, by Governor Charles Morehead, and politics in general. The second letter is written by Finnel to John Serman. In the letter, Finnel gives Harry I. Todd a recommendation for entry into Washington, D.C. society.
